The purpose of the Curriculum for Respiratory Medicine Specialist Training (2022) is to guide the training of specialty trainees who are aiming for dual certification in respiratory and internal medicine. It defines the purpose, content of learning, process of training, and the programme of assessment, and should be used in conjunction with the Curriculum for Internal Medicine Stage 2 Training. We advise all trainees take the time to read and understand the curriculum thoroughly, so that they can demonstrate the capabilities required to acquire their CCT at the end of training.
To help you navigate the requirements for successful CCT we have provided some focused advice on several areas of the curriculum:
- ARCP and PYA
- Additional compulsory training requirements
- Audit, QuIP, and evidence
- Leadership and management
- Out of Programme (OOP) opportunities including research
- Teaching and training
- The SCE
