Dual/triple accreditation with ICM

ICM can be paired with Respiratory and GiM. The training pathways can be found here.

https://www.ficm.ac.uk/dual-triple-ccts

This is a challenging but very rewarding combination of training programmes and requires the trainee to sit both the Respiratory SCE and Final FICM exams.

The training pathway is slightly dependent on the programme you are entering from and flowcharts exist for IMT/ACCS and the old CMT pathway.

There are two Respiratory/GiM/ICM Registrars in Wessex, Dom Fudge and Andrew Sills (at the time of writing – October 2024). Both would be happy to talk you through the training pathway if you are considering this. There are also national pathway specific groups for trainees for support and questions.

If you are considering triple accreditation then it is strongly recommended you make contact with Dr Crowther at the earliest opportunity to discuss your plans.
